A gerente de comunicação do Instituto Butantan, Vivian Retz, conta em entrevista como tem sido a batalha de sua equipe para manter a população bem informada sobre a CoronaVac

Na última semana, a Anvisa (Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária) aprovou o uso emergencial da CoronaVac, produzida pelo Instituto Butantan em parceria com o laboratório chinês Sinovac, e AstraZeneca, desenvolvida pela Universidade de Oxford em parceria com a Fiocruz. A liberação das duas vacinas são os primeiros passos para a imunização da população brasileira contra o novo coronavírus, um grande avanço no combate à mortalidade da doença que já fez mais de 217 mil vítimas no Brasil.
No entanto, parte da população não está comemorando a liberação das vacinas. Isso porque existem muitas informações falsas circulando, principalmente em ambientes digitais como redes sociais e WhatsApp. “As críticas são parte de nosso trabalho e nós tentamos criar conteúdo que esclareça as dúvidas pois acredito que por detrás de uma crítica, pode haver falta de informação”, explica Vivian Retz, responsável pela área de comunicação do Instituto Butantan.
Uma das informações falsas mais comuns é de que a vacina é produzida na China e por isso não terá o efeito esperado. Vivian diz que, nesse caso, sua equipe busca explicar por meio dos canais oficiais do Butantan, que muitos insumos de outras vacinas também têm origem chinesa e isso não interfere na eficácia. “Tentamos estabelecer um diálogo”, conta.
Outra ação importante em relação à comunicação foi a criação do site Tira Dúvidas, que fica em destaque na homepage do site do Instituto e traz de maneira simples verdades e mentiras sobre a vacina. FATO ou FAKE é uma forma de ajudar a população a se informar melhor, além das redes sociais do Instituto, matérias, vídeos, entrevistas e notas enviadas à imprensa.
Vivian ainda aborda um ponto muito importante para que as informações cheguem de maneira correta à população: os veículos de imprensa. “A imprensa tem um papel fundamental para esclarecer as fakenews. A gente nota que mesmo a notícia mais absurda, como a que diz que a vacina tem o objetivo de ‘roubar dados das pessoas’, ainda há a necessidade de ser desmentida”, explica a executiva, que aposta na informação correta dada pelos médicos e cientistas do Instituto para combater o medo infundado que muitas pessoas estão sentindo.
“Nós criamos material como entrevistas, para que o público conheça as pessoas que trabalham no Butantan. É uma equipe formada por médicos com currículo extenso e experiência comprovada”, afirma Vivian. Além de todo material e apoio da imprensa, Vivian destaca a importância dos governantes em passarem segurança para a população nesse momento de que a vacina é sim segura.
“A vacina é um direito que todo brasileiro tem. Criar essa dúvida, de que as pessoas têm a opção de se vacinar ou não, é algo que não deve ser incentivado em meio a uma pandemia”. A executiva ainda traz outro alerta importante: doenças que já estavam erradicadas no país estão voltando por falta de informação.
Internamente, o Instituto Butantan reformulou sua equipe de comunicação desde setembro do ano passado para atender às novas demandas. O Instituto se tornou um dos assuntos mais comentados nas redes sociais e o queridinho de quem não vê a hora de retomar as atividades que haviam antes da pandemia. “Nesta gestão, eu tentei criar equipes para que consigamos levar uma cobertura de qualidade para todos os nossos canais. É uma equipe que trabalha junto há pouco tempo, mas que está totalmente alinhada e motivada”, conclui Vivian.
