Exemplo no combate ao coronavírus no início da pandemia, São Tomé das Letras volta a receber turistas com barreira sanitária
Com aproximadamente 7 mil habitantes São Tomé das Letras (MG), manteve-se fechada para turistas de março até outubro de 2020. Em novembro, vinte dias após a abertura, o município registrou o primeiro e respectivamente, o segundo caso confirmado da Covid-19. Atualmente, a cidade voltou a receber os turistas com restrições de capacidade e barreira sanitária.
Nota: Até o fechamento desta matéria, no dia 5 de janeiro, São Tomé das Letras (MG) registrava 2 casos confirmados já recuperados da Covid-19. Em 16 dias, até a recente publicação da matéria e o último boletim divulgado no dia 21 de janeiro pela prefeitura do município, a cidade registrou 40 casos confirmados, ou seja, 38 a mais desde o fechamento da matéria.
